Frequently Asked Questions
What is caulking and why is it important?
Caulking is the process of sealing joints or gaps between different building materials to prevent moisture, air, and debris from entering. It also improves the appearance and durability of surfaces and is essential for meeting building compliance standards.
Do you provide caulking for both residential and commercial properties?
Yes — we provide professional caulking services for residential homes, apartment developments, commercial buildings, retail fit-outs, and industrial sites across Sydney.
What types of caulking do you offer?
We specialise in: Internal caulking (bathrooms, kitchens, skirtings, joinery), External caulking (render, cladding, concrete joints), Fire-rated caulking, Remedial and re-caulking, and Expansion joint caulking.
What areas do you service?
We service all areas of Sydney, including the Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, Inner West, Western Sydney and Greater Sydney. We also travel for regional jobs, including projects in Port Macquarie, Wollongong, Newcastle and surrounding NSW areas.
Can you provide caulking services on active construction sites?
Yes — our team is experienced in working on live construction sites. We're organised, safety-aware, and work efficiently around other trades with minimal disruption.
Do you work from site drawings or walk-through inspections?
We can quote from architectural plans, takeoffs or attend site for a walk-through — depending on your project stage and needs.
Do you offer volume pricing for multi-unit developments?
Absolutely. We can provide a tailored metre rate or package pricing for large-scale residential or commercial projects based on volume and access.
How long does caulking last?
When applied properly with quality materials, caulking can last 10–20 years depending on conditions, movement, and exposure.
What's the difference between silicone and MS sealants?
Silicone is ideal for internal wet areas and high-flex zones. MS sealants are excellent for external applications, façades and high-movement joints, and are often paintable.
Can you remove old or failing caulk?
Yes — we offer full removal and re-caulking services as part of our remedial caulking work, including proper surface prep and reapplication.
How do I get a quote?
You can request a quote through our website form, email, or by calling us directly. We'll respond quickly to organise a site visit or review your plans.
How soon can you start?
This depends on your job size and location, but we aim to schedule works as efficiently as possible — often within a few business days for standard projects.
Do you charge by the hour or by the metre?
We typically quote by the lineal metre for new builds and packages. Hourly or day rates may apply to remedial or detail-heavy jobs.
Are your team members insured?
Yes — all our applicators are fully insured and experienced, with strong attention to detail and site safety procedures.
